Support The STL Food Bank During MGR-STL’s Restring For Charity

March 26, 2019 by MGRSTL

RestringAny guitarists out there interested in a free set of strings? Then be sure to stop by Music Go Round St. Louis Friday, April 12 for our 5th Annual Restring For Charity Event!

Simply bring at least 2 non-perishable food items (though don’t feel limited to just two!) as a donation to the St. Louis Food Bank for your free set of strings!

Restring For Charity has become one of our favorite events over the past 5 years as we’ve been able to continually increase the amount of food donations collected.

Let’s make sure 2019 is the same!

Support A Great Cause; Get Free Strings

As your local St. Louis music shop, we feel it is important to support the community that allows us to do what we love.

The St. Louis Food Bank does an incredible service for our area by collecting and distributing food to dozens of food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and more throughout the region.

With your qualifying non-perishable food donation, we will once again hook you up with a set of D’Addario’s Premium NYXL electric strings or D’Addario’s Nickel Bronze acoustic strings on the spot for FREE!

Since 2015, we have seen an increase in the amount of donations received each year, culminating last year when we nearly doubled the amount of food collected in 2017.

Although last year’s 374 lbs (305 meals) will be tough to beat, we know that with your help, we can keep the win streak going!

Trade In & Trade Up With MGR-STL

The Music Go Round St. Louis Restring for Charity makes for a perfect excuse (like you really need one!) to stop by the shop: Not only can you get a free set of strings installed while helping support an incredible cause, you can peruse what we have in stock.

With an inventory that changes daily, you are sure to find something interesting to add to your collection!

And while you’re waiting, be sure to bring any old gear that is collecting dust to trade in for cash on the spot or credit towards a new purchase!

Mark your calendar now and stop by Music Go Round St. Louis, located at 4442 S Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63127, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, April 12 for your free set of strings!

With your help, we’ve increased the amount of donations collected during the Restring For Charity event every year since 2015, so let’s keep that trend rolling and fight hunger in St. Louis!

Pickups – Vary Your Tones!

No, not Chevys, Fords and Dodges. Guitar pickups. Magnets, wire and plastic that make glorious tones by supercharging the single the string vibrations make. Hand, String, Pickup, Electric – GLORY. Those squares and tubular coils on all those instruments are varied and different for various reasons. They offer you differences in clarity, girth, sparkle, fatness, […]

Look At All That Gold!

Cymbals baby! To a drummer – brass is GOLD. And there is certainly a LOT of gold in these hills… We’ve had drummers from all over who have been to some of the biggest drum shops in the US – and they have said our cymbal selection is as good as theirs is – but […]

Keyboards!

We talk about guitars and drums and their associated gear quite a bit. But MGR STL also has an amazing selection of that other stage staple – the KEYBOARD! We often have high end pro rigs like Kurzweil, Roland, Hammond, Korg, Nord, etc. And we filter down to the best intermediate and beginner keyboards as […]

Your First Guitar !

It’s hard to describe the power of a first guitar. (Or any first instrument for that matter.) It is for many, a watershed moment. Joy, anticipation, admiration. So many emotions accompany a musical instrument. And the first one carries just a little more weight. When do you get a first guitar? That’s easy – NOW. […]
