Music Go Round’s International Guitar Month is fast approaching, which means it’s time for one of our favorite events of the year: Restring For Charity.
Simply bring (at least) two non-perishable food items to the St. Louis Music Go Round on Friday, April 7, and one of our professional guitar techs will restring your acoustic or electric guitar for FREE on the spot!
Like last year, we will be using D’Addario NYXL and new Nickel Bronze strings, so you’re definitely getting a high-quality restring. And best of all, your contribution helps keep the St. Louis area’s neediest people from going hungry!
We absolutely love hosting this event because it is a Win-Win; we are able to give back to our customers as you support our community.
All donations benefit the St. Louis Food Bank, a tremendous non-profit organization that helps to feed hundreds of thousands of needy people in the bi-state region every year.
As the primary hub for collecting and distributing food in the area, St. Louis Food Bank will store, sort, repackage and distribute your donation to one of their 500+ charitable partners.
These include food pantries, senior feeding programs, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, school pantry programs and more.
Music Go Round is proud to partner with such a compassionate organization, and our Restring For Charity event can really make a difference.
Last year, we restrung around 30 guitars and collected 161 pounds of food – enough for 131 meals! We want to beat that total this year, so be sure to bring your guitar (there is a two-guitar limit per customer) and non-perishable food items by our St. Louis location from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, April 7.
We are always excited to offer our customers the best deals in town, and when we can combine that with helping an awesome local charity, it’s even even better!
